ABOUT THE POSITION: As a GoldKey Marine Forklift Operator you will be learning to operate our Wiggins Marina Bull forklift to safely load and unload boat from our dry stack racking as well as operating average size counter-balance forklifts to safely maneuver boats and trailers in and out of our boathouse. In addition, you will be asked to complete service work and detailing of boats and trailers once the warehouse is in order. You may also wash boats, charge batteries, fill propane, and perform various customer service tasks when necessary. Full employer paid benefits (medical, dental and vision) and matching 401k! We are looking for candidates who are dedicated, hardworking individuals with a high degree of integrity and initiative. Teachable and adaptive to change with the ability to balance production and quality is crucial. Being able to work productively as a member of a team and individually is a must. Skills/Requirements - Positive Attitude - Strong work ethic - Dependable - Good communication skills - Attire and conduct must be professional at all times - Very Organized - Manages their work and time well - Must have reliable transportation - Must be able to lift at least 60lbs - Forklift certification and/or 2-3 years experience - Ability to inspect and maintain equipment and machinery - Must be at least 18 years of age - Must possess good mechanical ability: change batteries, oil, etc. - Customer service skills - High School Diploma or GED - Clean DMV record and CA driver’s license - General boat house duties - Transport customers' vehicle's with exceptional care Be able to... - Safely move and store boats and trailers in proper places - Work in a fast pace environment - Work with higher than normal noise levels - Work a flexible schedule as needed by management - Work weekends and holidays Previous experience as a forklift operator is required -- this is NOT an entry level position. Qualified applicants must have at least 1-2 years of experience. Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus.
