This training will review some the foundations of Play Therapy and techniques to use in therapy.
This is approved for 5.0 CEs with the KY Boards of SW, Psychology and LPC. It is pending for CEs with LMFT. We will update this description as replies are received.
This training will review some basic Play Therapy techniques, foundations of Play Therapy, and techniques therapists can use in treatment to engage young children in treatment. Participants will improve their knowledge of basic play therapy techniques including child directed play therapy, trauma informed play techniques, and parent-child play interactions. This training is not intended to certify participants in Play Therapy but to give them a general overview of techniques and the models/theories behind play therapy and rationale for use in treatment.
