Found dog at the post office by Home Depot on Story Rd. She was there for a couple of days. I believe she is waiting for her owner. She was sniffing all the cars and everytime a car would come, she would perk up and look. I went back to the post office late night and she was there completely alone just laying by the fence. I couldn't bear to leave her there in an empty parking lot, in the dark and cold all alone another night. She is very scared and sad. She won't lift her tail between her legs.
I brought her home for the night. I took her for a long roller blade session in the morning. She was sniffing all the backyards looking for her home. Unfortunately I can't keep her. I brought her back to post office to see if she would lead us to her home but she ran back to car and just sat down. She whined on her way to the shelter. It was heart breaking. I'm hoping someone reads this story and wants to adopt her and give the life she deserves. 🙏🏼 She is at the animal shelter on Monterey Rd. She has cleared her behavioral test. If she passes her health check she will put up for adoption.
I believe she was dumped at the post office. She also looks like she recently had puppies. She may have been breed and then dumped.
