Wanted: Pigeon as Pet

Hi, I've had pet pigeons in the past. Either rescued and returned to wild feral (kept one with a broken wing that healed poorly) and 1 roller pigeon (as a mate to my rescue). Portage Bay Grange is currently not selling pigeons (they sell livestock) and I'm having problems finding a rescue at the animal shelters. I've pigeon proofed my place and would either like to inherit a wild one with special needs or find a fancy breed that can't fly like a King, Modena or other fancy breed that can't survive in the wild. Even a racing pigeon or some "useless" pigeon that you don't want (if you're a breeder)... I'll take it, I just like the company. My previous pigeons were close enough to me to sit on me, chase me, wake me up picking at my hair and enjoyed good food, uva/uvb bulbs, full run of the house, bird diapers when outside on a flight harness and excellent vet care (for which vet receipts can be provided). I don't want to report breeders and am not a pigeon activist, I just like them and respect different kinds of pigeon communities - we're all entitled to our own methods and principles. I'm in Seattle and can and have gone as far as Portland for a pigeon (took to rehabber). Thank you, Robin
