Firefighters & Cardiac Emergency Care - For American Heart Month, we will demo a few ways that our firefighters treat cardiac emergencies "Firefighters & Cardiac Emergency Care" Cardiac emergencies make up a very large number of calls our firefighters respond to. This month's CFA class, in honor of American Heart Month, will discuss the multiple ways our firefighters treat cardiac emergencies. We will demonstrate the use of our top-of-the-line automated chest compression devices, show how firefighters use capnography and ECGs to help diagnose the progression of a cardiac event, and we will teach hands-only CPR so you will have the tools to help during an emergency until we arrive on scene. Following CDC guidelines and local regulations, we will maintain the utmost care for the safety of our attendees and staff during these classes. As such we will require a temperature scan, face-covering, and social distancing for and during every class.
