Description
EAST HAVEN, CT — Keeping kids that ride school buses safe in East Haven is a full-time, albeit possibly temporary job, that pays $14 an hour.
School bus monitors and sanitation attendants are needed at East Haven Public Schools. In a flyer posted to Facebook, the jobs are described as being "great positions for parents and guardians" and the work schedules coincide with student schedules.
A call to the number found that the jobs are up to 40 hours a week and pay $14 an hour.
The positions are in conjunction with the district's bus company, All American School Bus.
The jobs consist of providing face masks for kids without one, giving a "squirt" of hand sanitizer to each student before they get on the bus, monitoring bus riders, wiping seats once students leave the bus and for the sanitation attendants, sanitizing "high-touch" surface areas inside schools.
Fingerprinting and background checks are required for the jobs.
