Michael Shoriak and Courtney Williams of Cypress Building Conservation co-present on their findings during our recent facade restoration! Have you noticed something different about the BK House, but couldn't quite put your finger on it? Michael Shoriak and Courtney Williams of Cypress Building Conservation might be able to help you out as they co-present on the recent restoration of the BK House facade. Working closely with Ann Masson and Robby Cangelosi, Jr., the pair used their research into the history of the home's paint colors as a teaching moment for their students in the Tulane Master of Preservation Studies program. This presentation will delve into the historic and scientific cause for decisions made, the day-to-day of the project, and uncover research surprises that came up along the way. This lecture will take place in our courtyard and seating will be limited. Guests will be asked to remain socially distanced and are required to wear a mask.
