Man Arrested With Heroin, Someone's Hoboken Housing Card: Police

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken police said they arrested a man Sunday evening on several heroin charges, and found him carrying "a Hoboken Housing Authority access card that did not belong to him." Police say that their Street Crime Unit made an arrest of Stephen White, 52, around 6:08 p.m. after becoming aware that he was in the area of 310 Jackson St. The unit was led by Det. Sgt. William Collins, along with Detective Mark Mullins, Detective Fabian Quinones, and Detective Connor Milne. According to the Hoboken police, when they made the arrest, White was found to be in possession of about 6 grams of heroin, approximately $2,000, a Hoboken Housing Authority access card, and a folding knife. White was charged with the following: Possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance (heroin), possession with intent to distribute heroin within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession with the intent to distribute heroin within 500 feet of public housing, possession of weapon for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of weapons, certain persons not to have weapons, receiving stolen property, and defiant trespassing. White was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
