Gibson First Baptist Church will host a Maundy Thursday Service on April 1, 2021. You must register for either the 6 pm or 7:30 pm service. This service commemorates Jesus and the Disciples observance of the Passover Meal just a few hours before His arrest and crucifixion. It was during this time that our Lord instituted what we observe today as the Lord’s Supper. Each element of the Passover meal will be explained according to its significance in God’s deliverance of His people from slavery in Egypt and its significance in pointing to Jesus Himself as our promised Messiah. Due to Covid precautions, we will have two services, each with a limit of 30 people so that we can safely social distance. The services will be at 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. You must register including your name, telephone number, number of people in your party, and your church affiliation. Masks are encouraged. If you do not have one, masks will be provided. Everyone is asked to enter the church through the Worship Center and you will receive instructions there.
