PROVIDENCE, RI — Severe winter weather around the country impacted this week's shipment of coronavirus vaccines to Rhode Island, the Department of Health said. The shipment of Moderna vaccines, which was scheduled to arrive Monday, was received Tuesday. According to the department, the delayed arrival of about 12,400 doses forced the cancellation of community vaccine clinics scheduled Tuesday in Cranston, East Greenwich and West Warwick. Anyone with an appointment scheduled for these clinics will be contacted directly to reschedule. Because the vaccines arrived Tuesday, no other community clinics will be impacted this week, the department said.
