ELGIN TOWNSHIP, IL — Just over 1,000 people in Elgin Township headed to the polls Tuesday to decide several primary races, a dismal turnout of just 1.7 percent. Ken Bruderle earned the Republican nomination for Elgin Township supervisor after picking up 265 of 400 votes cast, or 66.25 percent of the vote, according to unofficial election results from the Kane County Clerk's Office. Mark Bialek earned 133 votes, or 33.25 percent of the vote in that race. Coronavirus Testing Continues At Elgin Community College Bruderle is set to face incumbent Democrat Franklin F. Ramirez in the April 6 election. Ramirez earned 63.86 percent of the vote in his race against Brenda Rodgers for the Democratic nomination for Elgin Township supervisor.
