TerraSmart, a Gibraltar Industries Company Solar Construction Job: Currently seeking 30 (thirty) Traveling Solar General Laborers for a solar site throughout the state of NY. This will be a traveling position and employees will be asked to stay on the road at specific sites throughout the duration of the project throughout the state of NY. Starting pay is $16-18/hr. based on experience. There will be $30/day per diem, and hotels will be paid for. Start Date: Hiring immediately, employees must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Shift: 7:00am-5:00pm, Monday - Saturday There will be on the job training for entry level candidates and the potential for upward mobility based on work ethic and ability to learn and operate equipment on site. Basic Job Duties Include: • Build racking systems • Use proper tools (drills, torque wrenches, ratchets, screw drivers, etc.) • Install solar modules using direction from site plans • Follow directions of site Superintendent and Foremen • Site cleanup • Work safely, providing quality work, efficiently. Qualifications: • Must have reliable transportation to get to job site every day • Lift up to 50 lbs., in a repetitive motion all day (10+ hour days) • Walk the site all day (large tracts of land, with possible rolling terrain) • Withstand all weather conditions (sun, rain, wind, snow; 0 degrees to 100 degrees) • Job Type: Full-time
