AURORA, IL — Less than 1,800 Democrats in Aurora Township headed to the polls Tuesday to decide several primary races, a dismal turnout of just 2.85 percent. Aurora Township Democrats were tasked with choosing their nominees for the April 6 election for several offices: supervisor, clerk and highway commissioner, as well as four trustee positions. That could delay final results by about two weeks, with margins in many of the races under 200 votes. As of Wednesday afternoon, the four leading vote-getters were Dolores Hicks (902), David Moore (836), Sam Nunez (835) and Juanita Wells (767).
