GeoCal Environmental Management & Landscaping seeks 2 full-time Open Space Landscape Laborers/Irrigation Techs. The following experience is highly desirable: Safe operation of a variety of light duty equipment and vehicles typically used in a Public Works maintenance setting. Load and unload trucks in a variety of locations along; roadways, sidewalks, medians, and trails. Inspect irrigation systems report broken sprinklers and nozzles and make basic repairs. Mow and edge grass areas. Candidates must be attentive and responsible working within a group and individually. The desire to work with a crew performing a variety of landscaping projects. Operation of two and four cycle motors (weed whacker, mower, leaf blowers, etc). Repairs to fences and trails. Seasonal fertilization of ground covers and shrubs. Invasive species removal. Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather, exposure to sun, wind, noise. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Experience with hand tools, shovel, a rake pick, etc. Valid California Drivers license. Weed removal utilizing mechanical and chemical methods. This work requires standing, walking, squatting and kneeling. Knowledge of irrigation systems a plus and additional compensation depending on level of experience.
