UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A ZIP code on the Upper West Side has given the most money to 2021 mayoral candidates of any area in New York City. The financial data was revealed in new maps by the City University's Center for Urban Research and the city's Campaign Finance Board. The maps break down how much money each NYC ZIP code has raised for all participating 2021 candidates and allow users to search for donation numbers by candidate and race. It is by no means shocking that the Upper West Side is leading the donation game in the upcoming mayor's race, but the numbers are still eye-catching. The UWS's 10023 ZIP code covering the Lincoln Square area has raised the most money for the mayor's race of any ZIP code in the five boroughs. Here's more information for the Upper West Side ZIP code: Total Raised For Mayor's Race: $542,300Number Of Donators: 1,145Average Donation: $474 Of the over $540,000 donation total in the 10023 ZIP code, $307,310 of the funds went to former business executive Ray McGuire. The Upper West Side, along with the Upper East Side, dominated the top of the list for ZIP codes with the most money donated to 2021 mayoral candidates. The two other Upper West Side ZIP codes, 10025 and 1oo24, have raised $238,679 and $446,412 respectively. For comparison, ZIP codes at the bottom of the list like 11428 in Queens Village and 10455 in the South Bronx have donated less than $400.
