We all pitch in to do what needs to be done. Job Summary: B+T Group is currently seeking a Field Technician in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This person is responsible for completing on-site field work associated with each field service project and for providing guidance and on-site supervision to tower technicians. Ability to perform various job duties for instance tower climbing, ground walks and scans along with drone scans. Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities): 1. Preparation – Oversee and participate in the preparation of equipment and materials for each project so the on-site work can be completed properly, safely and efficiently. 2. Field Work – Oversee and participate in the completion of field work in accordance with client work orders, including but not limited to documenting structural elements and appurtenances. Ability to fly drones on tower sites as well as ground scan various structure installations in congested urban and city areas. 3. Documentation – Record information associated with field work activities and provide related reports after completing work on the site. 4. Mentor – Guide and instruct Tower Technicians on proper techniques to ensure that field work is completed properly, safely and efficiently. 5. Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned. Required Qualifications: Knowledge/Skill/Ability • Physical Ability – Ability to climb to and work from heights above 100 feet while bearing the weight of more than 30 lbs. of equipment and being exposed to all types of weather. • Communication Skills – Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise, understandable reports. • Computer Skills – Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet and word processing programs Equivalent Education/Experience · High School Diploma · Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tower Technician · OSHA 10 Certification required · First Aid/CPR Certification required · Competent Climber Certification required · Part 107 Certification required · An understanding of Photogrammetry Special Job Dimensions: Work is physically demanding, requires conformance to tight deadlines, occasional overtime, travel, and exposure to weather elements.
