Property Maintenance Technician Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building. Communicate with the manager about any work that requires outside expert assistance. Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues on their premises. Work with the tools and supplies necessary to complete projects. Maintain corporate safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations. Evacuate the building in the event of an emergency. Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke, and other safety systems within the structure Calibrate instruments and tools required for the job responsibilities. Proficient in building construction, with preferred knowledge of the trades including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing Should be able to self-perform most things; coordinate third party service vendors as needed (extra janitorial, electrician, plumber, trash pickup, pest control, carpet cleaning, recycling, etc.) Monitor systems for potential problems (or existing problems) and formulates solutions to be presented to the Housing Operations team Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of the property and for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy Responsible for the care, maintenance, and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents Other projects and duties as assigned High school diploma/GED required 4+ years building maintenance experience Available to respond to after-hours emergencies and ability to work evenings and weekends as may be assigned Willingness to inspect and evaluate all mechanical aspects of the building Must have the ability to climb heights, lift up to 60 lbs. and climb onto ladders Drivers license required Related keywords: maintenance technician, maintenance
