Hello! I am a female lead singer starting a cover band. I am feeling the Carpenters and want to jam their songs for fun in a casual setting. The Carpenters songs like Rainy Days & Mondays, Superstar, We've Only Just Begun, Close to You. There will only be one Karen Carpenter. This is a cover band and I will do my best to honor the vocals but won't impersonate her iconic sound. Details: Looking to get together and rehearse once a week, weekdays and daytimes would be ideal. Santa Cruz area. We can get a groove going in the coming months and maybe when things open back up, perform occasionally. This is not for serious musicians or people looking to gig or make it. This is for fun and to make great music of the 70's and 80's! UPDATE: I've got some great people on board already! What we still need a clarinet and flute player!! I'm super organized so you don't have to be! We're hoping to get our first jam the first weeks of March. We will be COVID safe in a well ventilated area.
