The purpose of the Landscape Construction Supervisor is to supervise and mange landscape construction projects as well as other landscape duties. Participate in some Landscape Operations as needed. Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. -Supervise and perform the gardening, mowing, raking, trimming of the landscape grounds. -Supervise and perform the pruning of ornamental trees and shrubs around property. -Supervise and perform the spring and fall clean-ups for Yellowstone Club grounds. -Maintain all landscape plantings which include watering, weeding, fertilizing, and general upkeep. -Perform hand digging, lifting, and physical work where needed. -Complete mowing, trimming, and rock work to specification by operating landscape maintenance equipment. -Operate both light and heavy machinery used in construction projects and maintenance. -Supervise and participate in tasks associated with construction, irrigation and drainage of landscape projects. -Report equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately. -Clean the maintenance areas daily. -May be asked to assist in all other areas of the landscape maintenance operation as needed. -Will be asked to operate Yellowstone Club vehicles in the transport of landscape tools, equipment and materials needed in job tasks. -Supervise and perform various landscape construction projects working with landscape manager to create and install landscape designs throughout YC property. -Manage construction materials and supply inventories associated with projects in coordination with Landscape Manager. -Participate in employee training associated with job tasks and project work. -Ability to read and interpret scaled drawings and blueprints -Train, lead, and supervise 4 or more employees. -Have a keen eye and attention to detail. -Knowledge of irrigation design principles, layout, and troubleshooting. -Knowledge of landscape lighting and troubleshooting. -Familiarity with mountain plant species. -Knowledge and ability to operate a skid steer, mini excavator, hydro seeder, various small engine equipment and trailering/loading principles. -Ability to manage all aspects of each job. Material orders, utility locates, scheduling of subcontractors, employee time tracking. -Knowledge of all industry related PPE requirements. -Understanding of proper site drainage and grading techniques, use of a transit, laser or zip level. -Hardscaping and boulder retaining wall installation. Experience/Education Required: -2-4 year degree in Horticulture or minimum of 3 years of experience with landscape and project management. Certificates & Licenses: -Valid State Driver’s License -Computer Skills -Basic Microsoft Skills
