Wanted Older Dog that's great with kids

Looking for a layed back healthy but Adult Or older dog is Ok as long as it's getting around good. Must be set in it's ways house broken ect. Just not looking for a puppy to have to house train ect. Must be great with small kids an small animals. We have a big farm no other dogs. Any medium to large breed considered. Except (No full pit bulls) may consider crossbreed with pit? (Pic is my back yard as you can see not near any roads)
