We are looking for hard working individuals that are looking to grow a career in the Green Industry Compensation: Based on a Position and Experience, Pay rate $13.00 - $22.00 per hour with opportunities for bonuses and benefits Employment Type: Full Time Positions Available: Landscape and Lawn Care team Member and Crew Leader We are looking for someone who has experience in working on a maintenance or landscape team. You must be organized with a sharp attention to details. We will only accept candidates who are energetic, reliable, and trustworthy. You must be very proactive in completing tasks that are scheduled to you throughout the day. And when not being directly instructed, you must be actively looking for other tasks to complete to finish the days assigned work. This is hard physical work that is not for the sluggish or lazy individual. We do have fun while we work, but we WORK. How to Contact us: • Send an email to us (see website) • Call or Text: 610-533-1180 • Fill out a form online at: Check us out online at: lehighvalleylawn.com Facebook: @lvlawn Basic Job Description Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial or public property by performing the following duties: * Cutting lawns using various sized power mowers * Trimming and edging using a gas powered edger/trimmer * Operating a gas powered backpack blower * Trimming shrubs and low trees to shape and improve growth or to remove damaged leaves, branches or twigs using shears, pruners or gas powered hedge trimmers * Planting seasonal color * Applying chemicals or fertilizers * Picking up leaves, trash and cut grass and placing onto burlap and loading onto a truck or trailer * Performing weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe * Managing plant materials * Basic insect/disease identification Additionally, employees are expected to abide by all internal control & compliance practices to: * Safeguard assets from theft and misuse * Comply with business ethics, applicable laws and regulation * Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information Image Compliance * Maintains clean, neat, and professional image of service vehicle & trailer * Ensure crew members maintain professional image using approved LVL uniforms and by monitoring & maintaining proper employee action. Safety and Health Compliance *Lehigh Valley Lawn has a ZERO TOLERNACE policy for tobacco, drug and alcohol use in the work place. Work Environment/Physical Requirements * Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic * Work near or about natural bodies of water * Work with various types of work lifts * Able to work overtime or extended shifts if required by Management * Ability to work in extreme conditions – working temperatures may be between 0 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit * Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time * Ability to work in extreme cold or wintry precipitation * Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. * Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day. How will my rate of pay be determined? Each job category has a range of pay associated with it. Hiring managers have corporate guidance on assigning the appropriate rate of pay based on a variety of factors including: * Years of proven experience for the job you are applying for * If you qualify and meet our underwriting procedures to drive company vehicles * Your knowledge and ability to operate equipment classes * If you have special licensing, such as a CDL, Pesticide Applicators License, Tree Trimming License, ISA Arborist Certification, Lift Certification, etc.
