Immediate opening for a full-time Logging Equipment Operator Crane Mills is hiring experienced equipment operators for its mechanical logging side. Applicants must have three years of applicable, verifiable experience operating logging equipment. Passing a pre-employment drug screening and a current, valid driver’s license is required. The applicant should be familiar with equipment operations on a logging side including skidders, skid-cats, heel/boom loaders, and processors. Operators are from time-to-time required to perform manual labor tasks as part of their work activities, such as working on the landing, greasing and fueling equipment, and other minor repairs and maintenance. This position is fulltime seasonal and the operating season is generally 9-10 months of the year depending on weather. You will work as part of the logging crew that is comprised of a supervisor and five-six other operators. The crew works 10-12 hours a day, occasionally six days a week.
