Maple Tap-A-Thon at Chestnut Hill Farm

Join us for our annual Maple Tree Tap-a-Thon! This special family event is led by a Trustees ranger who will show us how to identify maple trees on the farm and share the history of tapping as we learn about how maple sap runs. Each family group will set their own tap to get a farm’s maple flowing! You’ll go home with instructions on how to tap your own maple trees and make your own syrup. Please note: Participants will be asked to follow Covid-19 related guidelines, including wearing face coverings and maintaining social distance. Hand-washing stations and/or hand sanitizer will be provided, and guests will be asked to clean their hands before and after our programs. Participants will also be asked to provide contact information in case of a need for contract tracing. If you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, please do not attend the event.
