SESSION #4 BOUNCE BACK YOGA FOR RESILIENCE SESSION #4BOUNCE BACK :: YOGA FOR RESILIENCE PRESENTED BY: Daneen Farrall, 200 ECRYT Whether you are healing from an injury, wondering what to do on an 'off-day', or simply rediscovering new ways to move your body, yoga can be an important component of your overall recovery plan. The original "life hack," this centuries old practice has far reaching physical, mental, and emotional benefits that can be accessed through simple breath and movement techniques. The only prerequisite is curiosity and a willingness to step outside of your comfort zone. In this Bridge Series Session Daneen Farrall, 200 ECRYT, will review the benefits of yoga as well as introduce basic breath exercises, common poses, and how to build the practice into your current wellness routine. A 45-minute beginner practice will follow the discussion. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and a towel. About Daneen Farrall Daneen is a 200-hour Experienced Certified and Registered Yoga Teacher (200ECRYT) through Yoga Alliance, yoga's premier governing body. She received her 200-hour certification through Inner Bliss Yoga Studio in 2014 and has taught over 1000 hours of in-studio classes, yoga events and workshops. She has also created and taught programs for local business, and all levels of athlete from high school to professional. Additionally, she is obtaining her next level certification (500-hours) through Yoga Medicine (tm), a program based on the science behind how the practice works in the body. She is passionate about teaching to newer and returning students so that they can harness the power of yoga to make positive shifts in their overall health and wellness. What is the BRIDGE Series? The BRIDGE Series is a free program developed to bridge the gap between medicine/wellness and fitness. Each 90-minute session provides health & wellness education from a doctor or wellness practitioner within the Cleveland fitness community, an engaging team-based workout, and the opportunity to connect with medical professionals and athletes from all over northeast Ohio.
