Description

One of a kind performance from Strange Roux on the Gasa Stage! This one of a kind performance places the band on stage inside the venue and the ticket holders on the courtyard outside with the show's sound and projected video streamed out live. Each Ticket Sold at $40 reserves a table of 4. Tables are socially distanced for the safety of our guests. Order of tables is first come first served but with only 8 tables there really isn't a bad seat on the courtyard. About Strange Roux: Hailing from the city of New Orleans, Strange Roux is a high energy Rock N’ Roll band with influences both old and new. Rooted in the sounds of the Louisiana swamp, the group brings a thick, heavy vibe steeped in sweet melody and hard hittin’ rhythm. As their debut EP Boogieman was welcomed by local publications with rave reviews in Offbeat Magazine, Where Ya’t Magazine, and Antigravity the roux krewe quickly took off on the local scene. The members – Jaimie Hill (vocals), Jason Kareores (guitar/slide), Cody Lee (guitar), Matt Schmitt (bass), Chris DiBenedetto (Keys) and Chris O’Guinn (drums) – have grown tight over years as a unit melding histories of love, heartbreak, and Louisiana livin’ into an authentic recipe all their own. Today, Strange Roux is working hard on new recordings, videos, and more for their growing fan base all to be released in early 2020. The band has had successful showings at New Orleans venues such as Tipitina’s, Howlin’ Wolf, Blue Nile, d.b.a, One Eyed Jacks, and more. Local spot Old Arabi Bar welcomes them monthly along with various festivals and venues across the southeast region. The group has shared the stage with Dax Riggs, Luke Winslow King, Papa Mali, Johnny Sketch and The Dirty Notes, The Crooked Vines, Roadside Glorious, and many other local and national acts.
