For high school students only, attend a week long builders bootcamp and get hands-on experience from construction professionals. For high school students only, attend a week long construction bootcamp and get hands-on experience from construction professionals. Attendees will learn basic tool safety, architectural design, construction, electrical, heating and air conditioning, plumbing and more as they work on building a child's play house. Attendees will visit residential and commercial construction sites, learn how to operate heavy equipment, to learn first-hand about the industry and career pathways. At the end of the week, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with employers to explore summer jobs, and celebrate their week-long project house with a BBQ. Attendees must be 16 years old, or older to participate. June 14-18, 8:00am to 3:00pm. Davis Tech will ensure all health and safety standards are met, including limiting student groups size, and will require all students to wear a mask while in the construction bootcamp.
