Description

An American Street Mural in Harlem - A live documentary short film & immersive photo series Against the backdrop of blatant health disparities and systemic injustice during the COVID-19 epidemic, this contemporary Black Lives Matter street mural installation and public exhibition amplified the role of arts and activism as a unifier that brought a historically black community together, despite many odds. Together as a community, we created one of the most celebrated murals around the world. Now, the dialogue continues with the debut of An American Street Mural In Harlem, a live documentary short film & immersive photo series about how the hope, resilience and pride of the Harlem community launched America’s preeminent BLM mural in the midst of a global pandemic. We are excited to invite the BLM Mural Volunteer community to a private viewing of An American Street Mural in Harlem in tribute to your incredible contribution to this historic event. To ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, the event capacity is limited to 15 attendees per viewing session. Social distancing and masks will be required. Please note that Viewings have been scheduled to take place every 1.5 hours between 1:30 pm and 8 pm on Saturday; and 12 pm to 8 pm on Sunday to allow sufficient time for attendees to view the art installation and the short film which runs approximately 35 minutes. Attendees will be provided 10 minutes following the film to depart so that the gallery and seating area can be prepared for the next viewing. (COVID19 safety and sanitation guidelines will be implemented.) Invitation is not transferrable. If you would like to join us, please register to select a viewing time on Saturday or Sunday. Thank you for your contribution to the BLM Harlem Mural. We look forward to celebrating this historic journey with you once again! (Please note that a public community screening event will be held at a future date when COVID19 safety restrictions regarding large gathering events has been updated.) __________________________________________________________________________________________________ An American Street Mural in Harlem - Media & Music Producer & Director - Ano Okera Harris Executive Producers - Nikoa Evans, Valerie Wilson, LeRone Wilson Art Curator - LeRone Wilson Producer - Charles Hayes IV Editor - Kevin Queroz Director of Photography - Sekou Luke Still & Motion Photography - Mark Claudio Aerial Photography- Alon Sicherman Additional Photography - Sam Vibes Sound - Jamilla Holman Graphics & Titles - Jedaiah Cuffy Production Associate - Massiel Martinez Original Music -Mark Bell Live Performances - Sing Harlem Choir
