Description

Do something different this spring break: Take charge of your classroom again with keys to improve student engagement. Dear Outstanding Teacher, If you are like every other teacher I know, you love teaching. You long to be able to connect with your students and really teach them something valuable. You are most satisfied when a student lights up with understanding and enthusiasm. Since COVID-19, actual teaching may seem like a distant memory. Are you discouraged with the rate of disengaged and failing students? Are you feeling desperate about what to do next? How do you get back to teaching? Of course, you can read books, websites, and blog posts on your own. But maybe you don’t need more information. Maybe you need perspective. Do something different this spring break: Take charge of your classroom again with research-proven techniques, AND get encouragement from real people to help implement your new strategies. This seminar outlines keys to student engagement. While student engagement is important for in-person learning too, we will give particular attention to remote and blended learning (hybrid and hybrid flexible (hyflex)). Topics: Beautiful Questions to Spark CuriosityTeaching that SticksActive LearningSign up today for an in-person seminar in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Please sign up early and cancel if your schedule changes so that I can plan for space. Our seminar will simultaneously stream live as a Zoom Webinar, but I still prefer old school face-to-face teaching. Attend in-person for extra free stuff like snacks, party favors, and conversations face-to-face. I follow Eventbrite and Texas safety protocols. Yours truly, Jae Carter Who Am I? I’m a tutor and trainer for e-learning beginners. I’m also a psychologist with a hobby of reading brain and learning science. Yes, I’m officially a nerd, but my super power is making boring subjects interesting. No kidding. I’m the one who wades through dull research and dry software manuals to make sense of technical jargon and obscure explanations. Then I translate it into practical, easy-to-understand language with down-to-earth examples, a lot of enthusiasm, and a subtle sense of humor. www.tutor4elearning.com
