GILROY, CA — All lanes of Highway 101 in both directions were back open on Monday afternoon in Gilroy after a vehicle hit a power pole and caused live power lines to block lanes. Caltrans issued a SigAlert on Sunday night, urging drivers to take caution, use other routes and expect major delays. The incident occurred south of Highway 25. According to the California Highway Patrol, PG&E crews worked on repairing power lines in the area on Monday morning while just one lane was open in both directions.
