IREDELL COUNTY, NC — An Iredell County cleaning lady faces numerous felony charges after she pawned jewelry that had been reported stolen, Iredell County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Rhonda Felts Wooten, 53, of Statesville was one of two cleaners hired to clean a home on Dec. 16 and Dec. 21, according to ICSO. On Jan. 2, the victim reported jewelry had been stolen from their home.
"Further evidence was gathered showing Rhonda Wooten had sold items of jewelry, which were later identified as the stolen items from the victim's residents, at Statesville Jewelry & Loan on those dates," ICSO said.
Wooten was arrested Feb. 18, and charged with felony larceny, as well as two counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense. She was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center and her unsecured bond was set at $10,000, ICSO said.
