This has been a very difficult time for all of us as we were taken by surprise by this COVID-19 Virus.  We all know how hard it has been on the essential workers and we will be forever grateful, but let us not forget how difficult it has been for everyone.   March will mark a year of fear, anxiety, and sadness as many lives were lost in a most dreadful, lonely death.  As a parish and a community, we will like to honor our loved ones lost to this virus by creating a Memory Garden here at Our Lady of Lourdes in West Islip.   If you would like to honor someone you lost to this virus, you can add Cross to the Garden in their Memory.  This invitation is open to our community, whether or not they belong to our parish, and is open to all denominations.  Let us all Pray together as one for our deceased loved ones. The price of these handmade crosses is $25.00 on sale thru March 12th.  They will be displayed in the garden at Our Lady of Lourdes Church from March 28th thru April 11th then you can pick up your cross and place it in your garden or gravesite.  Please contact Eileen Rega @ 631-236-3648 or email at [email protected] for order forms.  Together we will endure, we remain and we will overcome.   Eileen Rega
