Description of role: Our Company is looking for an experienced Sitework Working Foreman to join our team. We are known for our quality and attention to detail so the ideal candidate will take a lot of pride in their work. Must be able to manage a crew to achieve production numbers and work efficiently. Coming to work with a positive attitude and a willingness to work with other employees as a team is crucial. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years’ experience running all aspects of a sitework jobsite. This includes but is not limited to: site layout and management, running a sitework crew, communicating with Project Managers and subcontractors, and showing an expertise in all sitework means and methods. This position will require the candidate to be willing and able to operate equipment on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity for long term employment. We offer competitive pay and benefits. Tasks: • Site layout & crew management • Coordination with Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Subcontractors and Client’s representative • Site demolition, preparation, and organization • Excavate accurately for footings and foundations • Install utilities including water lines, drainage lines and structures, sewer lines and structures, site electric trenching • Rough grade and fine grade site including walks, parking lots, green areas, etc. • Run telescopic forklift as needed • Schedule work with appropriate parties • Order materials in a timely manner • Production tracking Skills and requirements: • At least 5 years’ experience running/ managing a commercial sitework job and field personnel • At least 7 years’ experience operating heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, dozers and telescopic forklifts • Must have MA Hoisting License Class 2A/1C • Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment • Extensive knowledge of layout • Knowledge of Total Stations strongly preferred • Ability to execute elevations and layout per plans and specs • Extensive knowledge of drainage and utilities, earthwork, site prep, rough and finish grading, excavation for footings and foundations, and more • Driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites • Complete work to a quality level above industry standard understanding that every detail matters • Review the project daily to ensure that all activities are being performed in accordance with all OSHA regulations and the project site specific safety plan and contract documents • Communicating with owners and architects/engineers in connection with field issues and investigating and resolving such issues • Advise project team on matters pertaining to materials, sequencing, scheduling and personnel. • Manage subcontractor performance to a high level of quality. • Ensure that as-built working drawings are accurately maintained • Follow directions • Ability to problem solve • Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time • Capable of carrying at least 80 lbs. • Must have a minimum of an OSHA 10 • Class A or B driver’s license a plus but not required • Mechanic experience/ability a plus but not required • Estimating experience a plus but not required • Desire for a long term career • Willingness to submit to a background check and drug test If you do not meet these requirements, please do not apply Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm Benefits: • Competitive pay • Paid holidays and vacation time • Health Insurance • 401k • Profit Sharing plan If interested, please email resume to Mike
