Can You Find the Melody in My Lyrics?

Description

Lyrics are a funny thing. By themselves they usually read pretty bad. But combine them with a melody and you might have a hit song. Do you think you can create a tune starting with my lyrics (I have dozens)? Or, do you have tunes that I can enhance with some killer words? Are you a solo artist, or a band, that needs new material? I can craft the lyrics for new tunes or perk up your songs that aren’t quite making it. I consider my lyrics (without a melody) to be a rough draft. I’m not a perfectionist so I don’t mind making changes to get a better blend or narrative. I am flexible and don’t mind changing my words to better fit your tunes. I prefer good ole Rock ‘n’ Roll but I have written for other genres including Country Western, Pop, Heavy Metal, and even Goth. I am a serious lyricist whose words and rhymes are sophisticated, creative, original, and inventive. See a sample below. I’d like to hear what you have done. Send me links to anything you have on the web or MP3s that aren’t too big. And let me know a little about you – a one line reply just won’t cut it. Me: a retired aging hippie, originally from New York, who now lives in the NW Las Vegas Valley. We don’t always have to be in the same room but we probably want to get together at least some of the time. So, it would help if you live in Las Vegas and have a space that can act as a studio. This would probably work best if your instrument is guitar or piano. And, you should know how to read and write music notation. MAKE SURE YOU GIVE ME A WAY TO REACH YOU – EMAIL OR PHONE NUMBER. After your initial reply, do NOT rely on CraigsList to send and receive messages. Contact me and we’ll talk. Here is a sample of my lyrics: Secrets © 2020 I wasn’t supposed to be here I wasn’t supposed to see This was to be kept from my own eyes A secret of the third degree I somehow found my way here Through a secret door It was my own damn fault I just had to explore Chorus Secrets meant to be kept To be hidden and protect From view of mortal man Never reveal what you see and what may unfold Never tell what should be controlled This is a place for secrets to withhold And to always be untold What I saw was strange It defied description There are no words For this contradiction The scene was so bizarre There were people everywhere There should have really been A sign that read “beware” A sign that read “beware” A sign that read “beware”
