JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for participating as a team member of the Manufacturing Unit; providing exceptional, accurate performance to the standards set forth. This position is an indoor location with products; paints, cleaning supplies, petroleum products, combustible materials, etc. Work with and assist Filler & Mill (Journeyman). Helper (Plant) may be assigned to other plant areas to assist other Journeymen. Physical/labor makes up 85% of this position 15% environmental/logistic – (prepping and cleaning) WE ARE HIRING (3) F/T EMPLOYEES FOR THIS LOCATION. EXCELLENT BENEFITS! -Job location: 6123 N.Marine Drive, Portland, OR 97203 FULL-TIME $15.50 per hour RESPONSIBILITIES: -Set up cans -Boxes/tray packs 4/1 gallons -Hand palletize 5-gallon pails and 4/1 gallon trays -Cleans up equipment, including washing tank -Clean up the work area -Put away stock -Fold cardboard trays -Match current paint can label with respective paint can -Fill out batch cards, including time and quantities Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Position Requirements: -High School Graduate or GED equivalent, which includes the ability to read, write, add, subtract, and divide at the 12th-grade level; ability to read and compare letters/numbers; verbal communication -Employee is required to exercise excellent safe behavior at all times without fail, which includes using required personal protective equipment, such as a respirator and other safety equipment -Precise and accurate sorting and organizing of paperwork -Ability to productively work with minimal supervision -Timely and regular attendance is required at all times Physical Demands: -Full-physical mobility is required for the performance of every manufacturing position, including: Standing and walking (continuous) lifting to waist level, and carrying (up to 80 lbs), crawling/climbing occasionally. Lifting (continuous, pails, buckets, bags, boxes, equipment most often 15 – 80 lbs.); Carrying (continuous, 10 – 80 lbs., up to 70 ft); Reaching (continuous, floor to waist, at waist and shoulder level, fully extended); Push/Pull (occasional, sliding boxes, pallets, drums, batches up to 100 lbs of force); Bend/Stoop (frequent, shagging cans/pails, assembling batches, picking up the product, loading-unloading truck, cleaning restroom); Climb/Balance (occasional to frequent, on a ladder while carrying buckets in hand); Handling (continuous) Equipment: hand tools, scoops, small bags, labels, cans, mixers, calculator, step ladder, forklift, trash compactor, weight scales, freight elevator, portable tanks, buckets, box knife, shrink wrapper, pallet jack, hand truck, supplies, paperwork, broom/mop pumps and meters *Job location: 6123 N.Marine Drive, Portland, OR 97203 FULL-TIME $15.50 per hour
