Large boarding facility in need of Kennel Attendant Job duties include, but are not limited to: cleaning dog runs and cat condos, supervising play time, washing dishes, folding laundry, general cleaning, light interaction with the public, and the occasional bath. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. This position is 20-40 hours per week, with possible overtime during seasonal times (Thanksgiving Day weekend, Winter Break, Spring Break, and throughout the summer). The right person for this job would be: energetic, team-playing, but able to work independently also, an animal lover, able to have a flexible schedule, available to work starting at 7:30 AM Prior experience in a kennel setting preferred (i.e.- boarding kennels, vet clinics, animal shelters, etc; having a dog is not considered prior experience), but is not required; we are willing to train the right person. Ideally, the person hired should be open to increasing responsibilities. We would like to eventually advance the training/position to that of Lead Attendant. That position will include feeding and medication of animals, desk work/record keeping, extensive interaction with clients (in person, over the phone, and via e-mail), training and supervision of other employees, and more.
