Description
Due to changing family circumstances, we are having to downsize our furry family. Our sweet little 6 year old female (spayed) weenie dog is in need of a new home. Unfortunately, because there are so many awful, crazy people out there we are going to have to be extremely picky where she goes.
A little about Fiora:
She is from an AKC line (she is spayed and not registered as she is a PET only), extremely healthy with no problems. She is a miniature doxie and weighed about 10 lbs at her last vet visit. She LOVES to snuggle under blankets and chew up almost any toy, chew bone, treat, etc. you give her. She is good with other dogs and people of all ages though she will sometimes do an excited wee when you first come home. She is crate trained and will either go on a pad or go outside, whichever you give her the chance to do.
Now the picky part:
I would prefer she go to an experienced dachshund home; hopefully to be with other dachshunds. These are a specialized breed of dog. They BARK....A LOT. If a leaf blows across your lawn you will know it. This is a breed specific trait. They DIG....A LOT, yet another characteristic of the breed. They have long backs and have to be carried up and down stairs, need a ramp for couches and beds, and a strict diet to prevent obesity. The saddest thing I've ever seen is a fat dog especially a doxie.
Her adoption fee is $200 (it will be waived down to $50 if you meet me at your vet and get all her shots, preventatives, and exam up to date at new owner's cost).
A home visit is required (with social distancing and masks for everyone's safety); this is basically a meet and greet to see if the new home is a match. If for any reason the adoption falls through I request Fiora be returned and the adoption fee will be refunded in total. I would really like her to go to a home with other dachshunds.
Please email with any questions. Pictures will be posted shortly.
