Norfolk Marine Company is currently seeking candidates for the position of Boat Washer for immediate hire. Boat Washers spend the majority of their time cleaning new boats prior to delivery to the buyer. Other duties include, but are not limited to bottom painting, lot maintenance, sanding, assisting Riggers, cleaning/organizing the dealership, showroom setup and loading/unloading boats. Applicants must be able to work outside in the heat/sun and be able to lift up to fifty pounds. This is a full time seasonal position(March-September) with pay in the 10-12 dollar an hour range. However, we generally convert at least one boat washer per season into a permanent hire given he/she shows reliability and positive work ethic. Hours are Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30 and some Saturdays 8:00-12:00. This is a great foot in the door for applicants with little job history or training who wish to work in the Marine Industry or for students who need a fun summer job.
