Position Summary: Assist in golf course turf maintenance, course set- up, irrigation, operate golf course equipment and hand tools. Essential Job Functions:  Assist with preparing the course for daily play. o Rake the bunkers. o Cut and trim golf course greens, tees, fairways, and roughs. o Assist with watering the roughs.  Grades and prepares base, lays sod, and seeds greens, tees, and fairways.  Participates in daily setup for play.  Excavates and backfills ditches and trenches with hand tools.  Cuts weeds and brush.  Tree trimming duties.  Maintains the cleanliness of all golf course equipment.  Assist with loading and unloading materials used for the golf course. Other Responsibilities:  All other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Maintenance Director. ADA Requirements  Continuously o Lifting up to 25 pounds o Carrying up to 25 pounds o Visual acuity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work projects outdoors in various weather conditions including bright sun. Must be able to see details and use visual acuity in operating equipment.  Frequently o Standing o Walking o Repetitive use of hands/arms o Pushing or Pulling o Lifting up to 50 pounds o Carrying up to 50 pounds  Occasionally o Reaching Overhead  Environmental Conditions o Continuously working in hot/heat conditions outside. o Frequently working in humid conditions outside. o Occasionally working in cold conditions outside. o Frequently working with chemicals. o Frequently working with sharp objects/tools. o Frequently working with heavy machinery. o Occasionally working with soil. o Occasionally working with fumes, gases, odors, dust. o Frequently working with vibrations o Frequently working with others. Qualifications and Education Requirements:  Previous work on a golf course preferred, but not required. Supervision:  This position reports to the Golf Course Maintenance Director.  This is not a supervisory role.
