Overview Successful, niche food manufacturer in Chicago seeks a motivated Warehouse Material Handler to help organize our fast-paced and growing shipping & receiving transactions. The company operates as a high-volume contract manufacturer in the Nutrition/Snack Bar market, working with established and emerging retail brands. Role The MH will work with the Warehouse Clerk to ensure prompt and accurate material moves in the Warehouse, incoming & outgoing shipments. Responsibilities • Incoming/Receiving o Unload inbound shipments via forklift and manual pallet jack o Verify material condition and quantity match documentation o Work with Warehouse Clerk to resolve discrepancies o Communicate with 3rd party logistics providers to resolve discrepancies, delays • Material Movements o Ensure proper materials are selected & staged for use in production areas o Verify internal and external lot codes o Use company’s coding system to ensure proper adherence to FIFO • Post-Production o Count & return materials to warehouse promptly o Work with outbound shipments (Packing List, BOL, Commercial Invoice, special labeling, etc.) o Participate in regular inventory cycle counts Skills, Experience & Qualifications • Task-oriented; able to stay ahead high of transaction volume • Good communicator, both written & verbal. English-speaking (bilingual a plus). • Familiarity with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) • Required to lift up to 50LB frequently, on a daily basis • Previous experience in a warehouse/ inventory management role.
