PARTY CHIEF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Directs the survey field crew in the collection of field survey data including topographic, boundary and cadastral surveys. In charge of field crews for construction staking tasks; calculates horizontal and vertical placement of survey staking for buildings, site improvements and the installation of utilities and other site improvements. Receives and implements instructions for procedure and process in regards to the methodology in performing field survey projects and tasks. SPECIFIC DUTIES 1. Downloads field data and performs calculations in the field to insure accuracy and completeness of field data. 2. Responsible for the maintenance and operation of survey equipment and vehicles used in the field survey operation. 3. Is proficient in the operation of conventional survey equipment and GPS Equipment. 4. Knowledgeable in the application of Field Survey Procedures. 5. Works under the direction of a Licensed Land Surveyor. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Has either college or trade school background. Has survey experience as a party chief. Skills/Job knowledge: Proficient with survey equipment. Computer skills: AutoCad 2019 Union employee preferred (Local 12)* Job Type: Full-time Pay: Union Party Chief Rate COVID-19 considerations: All employees are required to wear masks. *Highly recommended
