Description

For over 50 years, Kustom US has provided emergency property restoration and construction services to residential, commercial, industrial and governmental property owners through facilities located throughout the US. The Restoration Technician is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency service jobs to perform advanced techniques for water and fire mitigation as well as repair areas damaged by mold, water or fire. Responsibilities include maintaining a fully stocked and prepared company vehicle to drive to work sites, cleaning and drying up work areas, preparing work areas and equipment, and performing minor repairs per the scope of work on time and within budget. Responsibilities The Restoration Technician will perform the following duties along with any additional duties as assigned by management per business needs. These duties are not listed in any particular order and are subject to change. Perform emergency board up, water extraction, and fire mitigation services efficiently and safely Prepare rooms / areas for work activities to include setting up staging areas and equipment Assist with demolition and general clean up Complete minor construction repairs (framing, drywall, paint, etc.) Maintain clean and organized work areas to include securely storing equipment and supplies while not in use Interface with customers and relay information to Project Manager and Superintendent when appropriate Complete paperwork, upload documents, and provide job updates into database as needed Complete punch list items with attention to detail Maintain equipment in clean and working condition Ensure the company vehicle is fully stocked at all times and travel to a nearby home improvement store to purchase needed items Monitor the safety, security, efficiency, and appearance of the company vehicle Additional Responsibilities: Ability to safely use hand and power tools, lift 50 LBS and occasionally climb ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, and work in extreme hot, cold and humid conditions Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours service calls Clean driving record and background check Required Education and Experience" 1-year experience in construction and / or restoration High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Understanding of basic construction safety IICRC water certification or willingness to obtain Job Type: Full-time
