Schatz Underground, Inc. is currently seeking applications for a service manager/mechanic to work at our Independence location. We are specifically looking for someone who can work on various types of equipment, medium/heavy duty trucks, service our fleet, and run service calls in a company service truck (lights, blowouts, etc.). This individual would work in our mechanic shop full time and maintain our fleet in the KC area. Ideal candidates must have: Basic Mechanic Tools General Mechanic Ability/Knowledge Willing to work on a wide variety of trucks/equipment Ability to drive work trucks, for testing purposes as well as running service calls Ideal candidates would possess any of the following experience/qualities: General Maintenance and Repair Skills Medium Duty Truck Repair/Maintenance Heavy Duty Truck Repair/Maintenance Medium to Heavy Duty off-road Equipment Repair/Maintenance Dozer and Track Equipment Repair/Maintenance Horizontal Directional Drill Repair/Maintenance Metal Fabrication/Welding Experience Hydraulic Repair/Maintenance Any Diesel Engine Repair/Maintenance Class A CDL (NOT REQUIRED AT START DATE, BUT INDIVIDUAL WILL BE EXPECTED TO OBTAIN AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT) Hardworking Responsible Punctual Ability to work with different vendors and order parts necessary for repairs If interested in becoming our next Service Manager please stop by our office in Independence, Missouri and fill out an application.
