Incentives offered for non-nicotine users. POSITION DESCRIPTION The loader operator is responsible for the safe and proper operation of the equipment. We require that they be committed to the total Ajax team effort by contributing to the proper completion of the work as directed by the foreman. RESPONSIBILITIES Note: The following duties are descriptive and not exhaustive. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position. Major duties include the following: 1. Must operate equipment to actively maximize production and quality. 2. Must keep shop informed of operating deficiencies. 3. Must perform daily maintenance, lubrication and keep equipment clean on a daily basis. 4. Must be on the job troubleshooter and communicate with the shop to find solutions to problems. 5. Assist mechanic on job repairs. 6. Perform all mechanical repairs possible using standard tools and supplies kept on the job. 7. Assist on the job as directed by foreman. 8. Keep foreman informed of on the job progress and problems. SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL 1. Enforce all rules listed in the Ajax employee handbook. 2. Insure all Ajax quality standards are met. 3. Insure adherence to all federal, state, local and Ajax Safety and Environmental Rules and Regulations. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Work is exposed to outdoor conditions, noise and heat 2. Ability to work days, nights and weekends as required. ATTENDANCE AND RELIABILITY 1. Reporting to work on time, after lunch, and not leaving early unless authorized. 2. Always providing proper notification and advance notice of absence. 3. Not abusing or taking advantage of personal days off. 4. Performing such other duties as may be required. CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS 1. Self-motivated 2. Ability to work well with subordinates, peers and supervisors 3. Ambitious PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical demands includes: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, low level work, reaching, bending, trunk movements, lifting minimum of 45 lbs., carrying, pushing/pulling, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking.
