Description: General Responsibilities This person will work directly with the lead carpenter for each job and will assist in all aspects of the project. Ideal candidates will have some level of past experience with general carpentry and will be reliable, hardworking and dedicated toward the success of each project and their career path in the carpentry trade Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the lead installer with all aspects of the job including setup, rough and finish carpentry and job site cleanup Ability to work on some carpentry tasks independently including use of power tools Review and be familiar with the scope of work and overall project goals Ensure job site has adequate dust and debris protection Ensure required tools and equipment has been setup each day Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. Reliable transportation is required and some jobs may require you drive directly to and from the job site Replenish truck supplies each week with all required consumable materials to avoid avoidable trips to supply yards during normal job hours Perform standard maintenance to your assigned vehicle daily such as oil and coolant levels, etc. Check for burned out bulbs and replace as needed. Report major problems requiring professional repair. Requirements.Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills Able to take direction and work independently High level of professionalism to be able to interact with customers via in person and phone Focus on high level of customer service and able to resolve job issues in the field Demonstrated ability to use power tools and perform work in a safe manner at all times Keen accuracy for details including measurements to the 1/16 Basic computer application and smart phone skills Valid driver's license and clean RMV Education and Experience 3 years carpentry or woodworking experience Basic carpentry hand and power tools Reliable and hardworking mindset Committed to learning more about their carpentry skills and the overall process for remodeling projects Face to face customer service experience Physical Requirements Able speak, read and comprehend Able to work in various work conditions – inside, outside with varying temperatures Able to carry and move tools and materials needed for job completion (up to 75+ lbs. independently) Able to walk, stoop, climb, reach, lift regularly as a daily task May be required to climb heights over 6' Employee will regularly be exposed to construction materials and visit construction sites.
