Volunteers are needed to assist with various positions for the vaccination event scheduled for February 26 at Petersburg High School. The Crater Health District and its member localities are joining forces to offer vaccination events across the region. These vaccination events, known as points of distribution (PODs), will be happening frequently and volunteers are desperately needed. A variety of volunteer positions are available including greeters, floor directors, holding area monitors, and scribes. Please note that only trained medical professionals will actually be administering the vaccine. The event will be broken into a morning shift and an afternoon shift, each lasting approximately six hours. Volunteers will be provided with instruction prior to and upon arrival at the event. This POD is scheduled to take place on Friday, February 26, at Petersburg High School and will be aimed at vaccinating persons over the age of 65 and those at risk due to underlying health conditions.
