JOB FUNCTION: The function of the position will vary depending on the department in which you work on any given day. Functions may include but are not limited to: Move flats of plants from greenhouse to green house, water plants as determined by Head Growers Specifications, transplant plants into larger pots, arranging flats onto racks as determined by orders, loading trucks, unloading trucks, selecting product for orders, labeling product, sowing, thinning, weeding, potting and other functions related to horticulture upkeep.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Constantly move, position or transport at least 20lbs.
- Frequently move up to 75lbs.
- Constantly move from and through out various areas of the farm
- Constantly position self to sow, thin, weed, transplant, move, water, pot, ship, load or remain in same position for
long periods of time.
- Constantly work in outdoor weather and being exposed to the elements.
- Frequently operates gardening and farm equipment in a safe manner
- Occasionally operates motorized and non-motorized vehicles in a safe manner (i.e.: Golf Carts, ATV’s, Tractors,
Trucks with trailers, Bicycles, etc…)
