Alamogordo Community Cleanup Alamogordo Chamber of Commerce, Keep Alamogordo Beautiful & DOT District 2 16+ Let’s all take pride in our community and clean up the HWY 54 Bypass. Help remove trash and debris to Keep Alamogordo Beautiful! The Alamogordo Community Cleanup will take place on Saturday, March 20, 2021 only if Otero County is in the yellow for Covid-19. All volunteers will meet at Ed Brabson Balloon Park at 8:00 a.m. The Cleanup will run from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. All volunteers will be provided with water, safety vests, trash grabbers, trash bags, and will be recognized with a certificate of appreciation. Trash will be collected from the entire bypass to include one mile north on Hwy 54 and one mile south on Hwy 54. Masks and social distancing required. Safety is our #1 priority, therefore children must be 16+ to volunteer along the highway. For children under 16, other options are available.
