Schedule: Mon-Fri 7:00 am - 3:30 pm *subject to change The Position: We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Janitor. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to take on non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The Janitor will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and public areas. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. • Perform general clean up of all areas of the building as directed. • Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas, green space and parking lot. • Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders. • Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up. • Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests. • Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped. • Troubleshoot issues with HVAC system, lighting and indoor climate control as necessary under supervision of maintenance supervisor. • You will be required to join the union, Teamsters’ Local 70, after 30 days of employment and pay union dues and entitled to all Union benefits under our Union Agreement. You will also be entitled to health, dental and vision benefits per our policies. About You: • Preferably, one year’s experience as a janitor. • Preferably, experience in a warehouse environment. • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. • Commitment to excellence and high standards. • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams. • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm. • Strong work ethic. Physical/Mental Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: • Stand and walk for prolonged periods. • Perform repetitive motion. • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
