Meet some of Park Forest’s own black historians! Loretta Rogers, Julius Mercer, and Roy Dillard. Readings, Signings, and Reflections. Masks required and Social Distancing Guidelines will be adhered to. Both Loretta Rogers and Julius Mercer are products of Park Forest, growing up in School Districts #163 and #227. The both have fascinating stories of how they pushed through barriers to make it to the other side. They will each read excerpts from their books, and have them available for purchase and signing. Roy Dillard will also be speaking about Park Forest in 1968 through now.
