K&S Staffing Solutions is seeking a Full Time and Part Time Yard Laborer for a busy lumber company Work will be outdoors and in an industrial warehouse with various duties such as, general cleanup and maintenance, painting, production backup, yard maintenance, among other duties. The work is fast paced and at times can be demanding. There is repetitive lifting and will work in both hot and cold weather. Work occasionally calls for overtime or weekend work during busy production times. Regular attendance is crucial. Seeking applicants with at least one year of recent good work history and references that can be verified. Basic Requirements: *All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED *Maintain an active Driver's License with reliable transportation *Clean background and drug free *Exhibit good performance, safety and attendance record *Required to wear PPE *Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, stooping, bending and exertion of than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and /or than 50 pounds frequently, and /or more than 20 pounds continuously to move objects. *Ability to accurately preform basic mental math skills *Strong planning and organization skills *Attention to detail and accuracy *Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills and be flexible in daily duties *Strong self-starter with the ability to work independently and with a team *Communicating with team members and leadership Educational Opportunities *Safely operate and maintain propane or gas forklift to unload, move, store, stage and load products *Interpret work instructions adequately and successfully *Understand troubleshooting and how to explain the problem in everyday terms *Ability to follow safety procedures and maintaining a clean workstation in each assigned area *Support manufacturing by maximizing plant uptime and provide support in your stage of production *Layouts, measurements spatial concepts and tooling knowledge *Developing knowledge of building materials, products, warehouse facilities and lift trucks *Understanding properties of metal and wood; including verbal terms and measurements Full Time: 7:00-3:30 Monday-Friday Part Time: 16-24 hours a week Starting pay: DOE If you are interested in this position and meet all qualifications please go to our website and complete our online application. www.kss4jobs.com.
